Frequently Asked Questions about Twinmotion Licenses

Modified on Mon, 6 Jul at 3:57 PM

Is it possible to have multiple activations under one account?

This is not possible. Twinmotion uses a named-user model. Each user must have a unique email address and Epic account.

However, you can request an organization license, which allows you to purchase multiple licenses and distribute them among your employees yourself. You can find more information about this in our articles regarding the organization portal.

Am I allowed to install Twinmotion on multiple computers?

Yes, you can install Twinmotion on multiple computers using the same Epic Games account. If you purchase subscription seats, each user must have their own seat, and you can select who has access to the seats you buy using the seat management functionality in the

 Epic Developer Portal.

Can everyone in the company use my license?

No, that is not allowed. The license is personal (assigned to an individual).

Is there a network license available?

An offline network license is not available; Epic Games uses user-based subscriptions.

Educational version

This is available & free. Go to https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/get-now/twinmotion.

What am I allowed to do with the educational version of Twinmotion?

The educational version of Twinmotion is available for free to students and teachers to learn and use Twinmotion for academic purposes, but it may not be used for commercial purposes. The educational version includes all the features of Twinmotion. Academic institutions are authorized to install it on all of their computers (for example, in computer labs).

How can I manage multiple subscription seats within my company?

You can select who has access to the seats you purchase via the seat management functionality in the new Epic Developer Portal, which is available at all times. The initial opportunity to distribute and manage your seats is part of the purchasing process, and you will maintain access and be able to make adjustments as your needs change.

Will I still have access to my existing projects on Twinmotion Cloud if I don't subscribe to the paid version?

If you have a perpetual license for Twinmotion 2023.2.3 Commercial Edition / Education Edition or earlier with access to Twinmotion Cloud, you can still use it to publish new projects from that version. However, you will not have access to Twinmotion Cloud from Twinmotion 2023.2.4 or later unless you subscribe to the paid version. You will, however, still have access to your existing projects that have been uploaded to Twinmotion Cloud and can reshare them.

Is there an offline installer available for Twinmotion?

Yes, an offline installer is available for subscribers via theEpic Developer Portal allowing for distribution without the Epic Games launcher. Educational institutions wishing to install Twinmotion in labs can also gain access to an offline installer upon request.
